MMA fighter Cole Young, who makes a living by taking hits for money, is unaware of his heritage when Outworld’s Emperor Shang Tsung sends Sub-Zero to hunt him down. Fearing for his family’s safety, Cole seeks out Sonya Blade and soon finds himself at Lord Raiden’s temple among Earthrealm’s defenders. There he trains to unlock his arcana and join the fight against Outworld’s forces.
