Charlie Heller is a shy CIA cryptographer who works behind the scenes and avoids fieldwork. When his wife is killed in a terrorist attack in London and his supervisors refuse to take action, Charlie decides to pursue the killers himself. Armed with compromising material on his own agency, he blackmails his superiors into helping him as he begins a dangerous quest for revenge.
