A young mother leaves her baby at a church baby box, but later returns after reconsidering her decision. By then, a deacon and his assistant have erased the security footage and taken the child to find him a family outside official channels for a fee. The mother ends up joining them as they travel with the baby to meet prospective adoptive parents, while police follow close behind, hoping to catch the intermediaries in the act.
