American missionary John Allen Chau travels the world trying to reach one of the most dangerous islands, North Sentinel, in order to bring his faith to the uncontacted Sentinelese people. The island is cut off from the outside world and surrounded by mysterious legends. Ignoring warnings and prohibitions, John gets closer to a place where any landing could end in tragedy. As the coast guard and a local detective try to prevent a catastrophe, time is quickly running out, and every new step turns the journey into a deadly game.
