On January 20, 1942, high-ranking representatives of the German Nazi regime met in an idyllic villa on the Great Wannsee in southwest Berlin for what became known as the Wannsee Conference. During the roughly 90-minute meeting, 15 leading men from the SS, the NSDAP, and the ministerial bureaucracy discussed the bureaucratically planned implementation of the so-called Final Solution to the Jewish Question: the systematic mass murder of millions of Jews across Europe. The film is a fictionalized television drama based on the meeting minutes written by Adolf Eichmann.
