The story continues shortly after the events of the previous film, as Jake Sully's family mourns the death of their eldest son, Neteyam. They are introduced to the Ash People, a new and more aggressive Na'vi clan than the Omatikaya and Metkayina, led by Varang. The renewed conflict disrupts Pandora's fragile peace and forces its people into difficult moral choices.
