After another failed attempt to commit suicide, hapless writer William seeks out Leslie, a hired assassin from the Killers Guild, an organization that helps anyone who wants a quick and painless death. Leslie has a good heart, but an unsteady hand, and his superiors are looking to retire him; this contract is his last chance to delay the inevitable. But fate intervenes when William unexpectedly falls in love, and his life begins to change.
