Diego, a talented film director, is facing a serious cancer diagnosis and a difficult treatment that strains his relationships with friends and family. After marrying Livia, he goes to Seattle for a bone marrow transplant and undergoes numerous medical procedures. During treatment, he befriends an Hindu boy, playing with him and telling him amazing stories. As his chances grow slimmer, Diego receives a visit from a very uncommon man.
