In 1838 Wisborg, Germany, newlywed estate agent Thomas Hutter is sent to the Carpathian Alps to secure a land deal with the reclusive Count Orlok. While Thomas falls under the count's sinister influence, his wife Ellen is haunted by terrifying visions that seem tied to the ancient evil he has awakened. As Orlok's presence spreads, the couple must confront the growing horror before it consumes their world.
