Set in 1950s Montana, Wildlife follows teenage Joe as he watches his parents' marriage unravel. His father loses his job and takes dangerous work fighting a forest fire, while his mother struggles with his absence and eventually turns to another man. As the family falls apart, Joe is left to grapple with heartbreak, disillusionment, and a growing distrust of the adults closest to him.
