Chloé, a vulnerable Parisian woman in her twenties, is convinced that her persistent abdominal pains are psychosomatic, so she turns to a therapist, Dr. Paul Meyer. Their sessions soon turn into a mutual sexual attraction, and the pair begin living together. But Paul's obscure past leads Chloé to suspect there is more to him than he admits, drawing her into a world of uncertainty, hallucinations and dream-like dread.
