Collin is counting down the final days of his probation, hoping for a fresh start and a quiet family life. He and his impulsive childhood best friend Miles work as movers and try to stay afloat in a neighborhood of Oakland that is rapidly changing under gentrification. When Collin witnesses a police killing of an unarmed Black man, the incident upends his life and strains the friendship as the social tensions around them come into sharper focus.
