In the early 1980s, a war breaks out among the bosses of the Sicilian Mafia over the heroin market. Mafia member Tommaso Buscetta tries to hide in Brazil, but as the bloodshed at home continues, he loses family members and realizes he may be next. After his arrest and extradition to Italy, Buscetta makes a decision that changes his life and strikes at Cosa Nostra: he meets Judge Giovanni Falcone and breaks the oath of silence.
