A principled cop refuses to compromise with his superiors, and as a result his team is left out of an operation to capture a long-wanted criminal. When a masked gang appears and kills most of the officers, including his superior, the investigation points to a former cop who has just been released from prison and is determined to settle old scores with those responsible for the ruin of his life.
