Former LAPD detective Charlie Waldo has withdrawn from society and lives in a tiny cabin above the city, keeping his possessions down to just 100 items. When his former lover and private investigator Lorena asks for help on a high-profile murder case, Waldo is drawn back into the investigation of TV actor Alastair Pinch, who is accused of murdering his wife.
