Doctor Strange, with Wong, rescues teenage America Chavez from a giant octopus. America can open portals to parallel universes when she is frightened, and Strange soon finds himself traveling across the multiverse to protect her from a force that wants to exploit her power. Along the way, he encounters alternate versions of himself and becomes caught in a struggle for the fate of reality.
